Grand Ballroom

A favorite of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s, the Grand Ballroom has played host to Baltimore’s most historic events and guests.
In 1911, Woodrow Wilson, once a professor at the Johns Hopkins University, stayed at the Belvedere while attending the Democratic National Convention in Baltimore, which nominated him for President. Perhaps the most notable event
in its history, the Grand also welcomed the Queen of Romania to America with a seven-course royal meal.
